Our code-signing certificate is still in review, so Windows does not recognise the publisher yet. It is not a fault in the installer. Choose “More info”, then “Run anyway”. Once the certificate lands, the warning stops appearing.

Yes, though it is less of a fit. Video encoding, photo resizing, backup to an external or second drive, the calendar and the widget board all work on a single machine. Remote control, opening another PC’s files and sharing a calendar arrive with the second one.

Copy the code the first PC shows and paste it into the second one. You do not need an IP address or a port, and you do not have to touch the router.

Yes. People you have linked under “Our PCs” can share a calendar board. Entries are stored on the members’ own machines and are not kept on our servers. Your personal calendar and diary are excluded from sharing at the code level, so they cannot cross by accident.

No. The source is not public. We would rather state that plainly here than have you discover it after installing. If auditable source is a requirement for you, this is not the right tool yet.

Your files stay where they already are, on your own PCs, and nothing has to be retrieved from us. PCs on the same network keep working with each other. Connections that reach across different networks depend on a coordinator to introduce the two sides, so that part would stop — we would rather be precise about this than claim more than is true.

The contents of files, remote screens and messages are not stored on our servers. They move directly between your PCs where the networks allow it. When two networks refuse a direct connection, an encrypted relay carries the bytes through without retaining them.

No. A remote session starts only when you approve it at that moment, and while it is running a red banner stays on your screen. There is no path in that skips the approval.

On one router — the same home or office — PCs keep reaching each other even when the line is down. There is also a mode you can switch on that keeps everything inside that network with nothing going out at all.

They are separate places, not one permission list. A guest link is read-only and expires by itself; someone linked as “Our PCs” stays linked, still has to approve each remote session, and only sees the folders you opened. What you open to one is not visible to the other.

Not yet. With a team this size, doing one platform properly beat doing three of them badly. We will say more once Windows is where it should be.

Yes — and it is often the most useful machine in the group, because a slow PC still has a large disk. Heavy jobs are handed to whichever machine can actually do them.

Right-click the IdleLink icon in the system tray, quit, and start it again. Right after a fresh install this often clears on its own once it has finished preparing.

Yes. Install again and sign in with the same account. Your files are on your own PC either way.
